Youth Information Center

The Youth Information Center has the aim to deal with the necessities of information of Barbate young people in addition to being a meeting point and contact with the reality of youth. It is a service open to Barbate youth as well as the social agents (of public, social or private initiative) and the population that has to do with it.

FUNCTIONS

The main purpose of the Youth Information Centre is to make young people possible to gain access to the existing information. For this, it is going to offer an advising service, full information and documentation that respond to the necessities of the different aspects of life.

Health: Sexuality, Drug addiction, health resources...
Leisure and Free Time Alternatives: Travels, trips, work camps, workshops, cultural events, places of natural interest…
Social life: Associativity, volunteering, exchanges…
Employment and formation: offers, courses, occupational formation…
Education: labor orientation, educative itineraries, languages, scholarships, awards and grants, universities…
Documentation center: Newspapers, books, magazines

The Youth Information Center coordinates the different actuation in terms of youth matters in Barbate. It offers a service of information and advising mainly for young people between 14 and 34. Moreover, it pays special attention to youth non-profit groups as well as to all the resources that direct their aims in favor of the youth collective: scholar institutions, free time groups, NGOs…

The Center is a meeting point where young people in addition to the programs and actuations offered get a personal attention adapted to their needs.

Morning schedule: From Mondays to Fridays, from 10:00am to 14:00pm.
Afternoon schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:00pm to 19:00pm.
