In order to ease the access of the citizenship to the associative existing resources in the municipal term of Barbate, (always according to the data of the municipal register of Associations and to the will expressly shown by the entities) and to bring the Associations closer to the citizenship in general, we inform you that from the Civic Participation Delegation of Barbate City Council, we are going to make an Associative Guide, for getting to know the social, business, cultural and leisure active resources in our township, in the field of associative knitting.

The associations have become in social agents of first order, with a paper of relevance in the social, cultural and financial development, thus the Local Administration as the closest to the citizenship, will get to know firsthand, the associative knitting, its functioning, demands, feebleness and strengths. The City Council, making important the closeness, we will try to implement actions for facing most part of demands.

It is possible that some collectives which are doing a great labor, don’t appear in the list due to it was their desire or due to ignorance. If you know some case, please contact us, we try this guide is continuously vivid and we will update it with the discharges or leaves may happen.

We are convinced that this publication is going to contribute to the promotion of volunteering and the civic participation.

MUNICIPAL REGISTER OF ASSOCIATIONS

The purpose is to get to know the number of existing entities in the township, its goals, representation for the purposes to make a correct development of associativity municipal politics possible.

The existence of a dynamic associative knitting in the municipal term of Barbate is fundamental for building a society richer in projects and services as well as to progress in participative channels and projects.

It is accessible to those non-profit entities who want to register their names and whose goal is the defense, encouragement, or improvement of the general or sectorial interests of the municipal term and in particular the neighborhood associations, fathers and mothers, cultural entities, sports, youth, professional and any other that, having their social address or open delegation in the municipal term of Barbate, make activities for the benefit of Barbate citizens:

The Civic Participation Delegation of Barbate City Council, in its responsibility for increasing the quality of its services, places at your disposal this link with intent to improve the communication between the citizenship and the City Council.

The main goal of this Delegation is to improve the means of communication in order to make Barbate a village more open and participate at a time. For this, we hope to transform this link into a vivid tool fed by the actions and contributions of the associations and collectives of the village, as well as of those people who want to participate individually. With everyone’s help, we will get it.

What do we do?

For the City Council of Barbate, the Civic Participation always means a way to understand the organization of the political action counting on the citizenship, delving into the possibilities of the democracy for a shared and public paperwork while respecting the institutions, so the democratic life is more visible and palpable, breaking down the barriers between the administrators of the village and the inhabitants.

The Civic Participation Delegation has the will to develop a work oriented to the reinforcement of the associative fabric and the invigoration of the citizenship implication, associated and not associated, in the development of initiatives centered in values, from the socio-cultural animation’s methodology at the same time that boosts and implies the participative processes of transversal character, in coordination with other Municipal Services.

In order to accomplish these premises, its actuation is based on the field of Civic Participation, in the following programs:

COMUNICATION AND INFORMATION

From the Delegation we aim to improve the information and communication media with the citizenship and between the collectives and associations, through the spreading of the municipal activities and the civic entities through different media: Email directory, press and radio, in ad formats (signage, guides, triptychs,…), websites, social networks, etc.

SOCIO-CULTURAL ANIMATION

With the objective of building together and of easing the participative processes that contribute to the improvement of the neighborhood, the village and its districts, this program settles on some action points that regard from the punctual support to the activities of the associations to the project’s coordination with them, getting involved in the design, execution and evaluation of the actions. Likewise, it is fomented the joint management and the reinforcing of the associations through grants and agreements and of a formative offer designed tailored to its needs.

PARTICIPATION BODIES

- The Participation Bodies are the different ways for the citizens to intervene in determined fields of the municipal management.

- The most important characteristics are that they are stable, steady, consultative, so through them, we can formulate proposals, suggestions…

- The Civic Participation Bodies are nurtured with the Associations, which are the basic and organized structures from where the citizenship can express their interests and intervene in the municipal management.

What services do we offer?

You can find a proper service in the rooms of formation of the Building of the Lonja Vieja (the old market), whose goal is to ease the use of the rooms as points of civic cohabitation.

PARTICIPATION ADVISING

The Participation advising service entails a basic advising at the disposal of the associations, collectives and citizenship in general.

This service tries to offer orientation and information for associations and collectives that provides tools to improve its ordinary activity in relation, among other things, with the following points:

1. How to form an association.
2. How to register an association.
3. Association management: books, CIF, etc.
4. Municipal resources for associations.
5. Bodies of municipal participation.
6. Formation for the participation and associativity.
7. Development of ideas, projects, etc.

Call for applications for grants 2010

Youth in action is the program created for young people by the EU. Its aim is to arouse the sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance in the European youth, as well as to involve them in modeling the Union’s future. This program promotes the mobility inside and outside the borders of the EU, the non formal learning and the intercultural dialogue, in addition to the promotion of the inclusion of all the young people, regardless of their educative, social and cultural context they come from:

Every year the promoters send thousands of project in order to gain economical support on the part of the Program, the selection process has the goal the subsidy of the greatest projects.

This program allows larger participation of the young people in the European political life.

It comprises five actions addressed to the youth of the member States and third countries:

Action “The youth with Europe”: supports the exchanges, the mobility and the initiatives and projects of the youth. -
Action “Volunteer European Service”: strengthens the solidarity and promotes the active compromise in the youth.

Action “The youth with the world”: contributes to the mutual understanding in a spirit of opening to the world.
Action “Social and educative entertainers and supporting systems”: improves the quality of the supporting systems to young people.
Action “Political Cooperation Support”: eases the cooperation in terms of youth politics.

The program is addressed to young people between the age of 15 and 28, while some actions are covered to people between 13 and 30.
